StoneGate Firewall and SMC 5.3 will provide an integrated, easy-to-use web authentication for end users. This Captive HTTP/HTTPS authentication portal provides an easy way for the end users to authenticate themselves to access some service behind the firewall. The feature works well together with User & User Group based access control that is also released in StoneGate 5.3.

The system comes with three separate web page sets that each contain: login.html, challenge.html, status.html, css file and some graphics. You can use any one of these or easily customize the authentication pages by using your company’s own logos, texts and css.

To customize the web pages, just export any one of the HTML Page sets, do the html and css modifications + include the new graphics and then import it back to SMC. You can export and import the HTML Page sets from the “User Authentication” subdialog accessible from Advanced tab in Firewall properties.
